Christmas Lights

I love to drive around looking at Christmas lights. We put the kids in their pajamas last night and drove around for a while. We saw a lot of pretty lights but thought that our neighborhood was the prettiest. We have a small neighborhood but a lot of people went all out with the lights this year. It looks really nice and it seems like you didn't have to drive by too many homes before you see another one lit up real nice.

Today I found out about a house in Stafford that has their lights synchronized to music. It is really cool! Dominic and the kids and I headed out when he got home from work. When you pull up to their house, you have to tune your radio to 103.9 FM and then watch the show. We sat there for at least 15 minutes watching it. And we weren't the only ones there in line. They have four songs and they are all so good. You can watch it on their website, just click on videos. It looks really good on the website but of course, it is even better watching it from in front of their house. The kids really enjoyed it too.

Neighborhood Holiday Cookie Exchange

Lenny and I went to a cookie exchange in our neighborhood over the weekend. We had a wonderful time and met a lot of new people. Lenny even met two kids that he will be going to kindergarten with next year. I also found a few new recipes to add to my holiday baking list. The entire family was invited but Dominic stayed home with Brooke and Nathan. They had fun spending the evening with Daddy. He even gave them a bath. Yippee for me!

Christmas Pageant

Friday was Lenny's Christmas pageant at preschool. Dominic and I went while my mom stayed home with Brooke and Nathan. It was a very cute pageant. Too bad Lenny is a lot like me and won't sing in front of other people. Sweet little guy only sang a few parts of the songs. I know he knows the songs but he got very shy at the pageant.

Lenny is in the back row at the end on the left.

After the pageant we went to their classroom for cookies and a visit from Santa. Here Lenny is showing me his wreath bagel that he made.

We are all getting very excited for Christmas in this house! I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!

I just had to post this picture of the boys in their matching outfits. This turned out to be quite a neat coincidence that they both have this outfit. When Lenny was two years old, Kristi bought it for him. He wore it and it was still real nice so I saved it. Now it is Nathans.

My cousin Lorie passes on lots of clothes to Lenny that no longer fit her son, Luke. This summer when Lorie gave us more clothes, I almost fell over when I saw that same outfit in the bag that would fit Lenny now.

Of course, I had to dress them in them at the same time. They had matching shoes too but I searched the house for 15 minutes looking for one of Nathan's lost shoes. I found it today. Exactly where Nathan was trying to tell me it was. He put it through the cat door down the basement stairs.

The pants look very shiny in the picture but they are really very cute in person.

Lenny wanted a picture with his sister. Brooke was trying hard to not smile for the camera. There was nothing I could do to get her to look at me and smile. Goofy kid.

I love the boys little outfits, too, they are so cute!!

Cookie Exchange what a neat idea for new recipes! We love getting the kids in the PJ's, give them chocolate milk and ride around looking at the lights too. I love the pic of the two boys in their match outfits...too cute! Merry Christmas!

We do the same thing, drive around and look at the lights. There's one close to us that has tons of lights that the kids love. That would be cool if they synchronized it to music, I bet that was neat. Hope your family has a very Merry Christmas!

A Christmas program, how neat. Lenny is growing so fast. His wreath was beautiful. Tell him it made me hungry with all the candy on it. The boys looked cute in their matching outfits.

My kids LOVE seeing the lights. There is a house near us that goes all out every year - it's amazing what they have in their yard. David didn't do all of our lights this year and they won't let him forget it!!! Next year :-)

Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

We too saw a house with lights set to music and Mikie loved it! It's down in the Southpoint area on Deep Creek Lane 107.1 is the radio station. We'll have to head your way and check that one out. I'm glad you met more people in your neighborhood. It makes me so sad to think about Lenny attending Kindgerarten next year. It really does look like he enjoys his preschool. Makes me think about how much Mikie may be missing, but I just can't let go of him yet.
